As a health educator trained at Loyola Marymount University, I design individualized sessions to meet you where you are in your journey to health. Customized practices foster nourishment tailored for you with ongoing support.

I teach you how to feel better through a proven method of breath and movement.  It works when you take responsibility for your own health, you will feel better.

At the Community Memorial Hospital Cancer Resource Center in Ventura, CA, I worked with cancer patients before, during and after their treatment.

You and I will co-create a personal customized daily practice using a HIPPA approved health assessment system.

My long journey to health and happiness has taken a lifetime but I want give you a shortcut to regain your healthy life and I promise to help you get there! I can help you learn to be gentler with yourself. To take better care of yourself and know your limits for activity each day. I’ll show you how to set boundaries, communicate better and understand your own needs as they apply to all of your digestive issues.

 

My Approach

First we will have a complimentary 30 minute discovery call to discuss your health issue and if we are a good fit tomove forward.  If we are a fit, I will send you a comprehensive Assessment form to fill out online.  Once I have reviewed and analyzed your assessment, I will be able to meet with you to design a customized program just for you. We will meet on a schedule that works for you.  I will be available by e-mail for any questions you may have as you work through your program.  Remember that the body has an incredible ability to heal itself.  My job is to discover how your body works and what steps you need to make to allow your body to do its job.

Your willingness to do what is needed to help your body is the key to regaining your health.  If we are not a good fit, I will happily refer you to someone who can help you.

I started yoga to deal with lower back pain, which I discovered was really due to weak abdominal muscles.  The gentle yoga class that Evon teaches and is offered as a part of CMH Healthaware community program really helped me to strengthen my core muscles, increase my flexibility and balance. Evon encourages you to practice at your own pace, know your limitations but yet challenge yourself.

Ajaz and I would like to let you know how much we enjoy your yoga sessions. They are calm, controlled and leave us in a quiet state of mind. I have arthritis and have had stiffness in my joints for a few years. I am very happy to tell you that following your therapies, I have much better movement in my joints.

Thank you for sharing your Yoga Therapy in yesterday’s class. About 5pm after the class, I realized that my 4-year shoulder pain was hardly noticeable and the trapezius knots were more relaxed. Just after one session! I love yoga and have not been able to do it other than restorative classes due to my shoulder pain. Now I am looking forward to the potential for pain free yoga. Yaa!

My back is seriously messed up with a cracked vertebrae, bulging discs and no curve in my neck.  I had been getting steroid shots in my back just to be able to stand up straight.  My body doesn’t do well on pain medications and when the steroid shots stopped working I turned to Evon for help.  She gave me a 30 minute practice that I do every morning.  I know it works because I’m in control of doing it.  If I don’t do it for a couple of days, the pain comes back and I suffer.  As long as I continue to do the practice daily, I am in no pain and walk for an hour everyday.  I have taken responsibility for my own health and it is very empowering.
