This gentle herbal tea combines fennel and peppermint, both known for their digestive benefits, to help ease bloating, cramps, and discomfort associated with IBS.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon dried fennel seeds (or 1 tablespoon fresh fennel leaves)
  • 1 teaspoon dried peppermint leaves (or 2-3 fresh peppermint leaves)
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon fresh lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Lightly crush the fennel seeds with the back of a spoon to release their natural oils.
  2. Place the fennel seeds and peppermint leaves in a tea infuser or directly into a heatproof mug.
  3. Pour hot (but not boiling) water over the herbs and let steep for 10 minutes.
  4. Strain the tea if needed and add honey or lemon juice if desired.

  • 2 cups hot water
  • ½ teaspoon grated ginger (optional, for extra digestive support)
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon fresh lemon or lime juice (optional)
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves and a fennel sprig for garnish (optional)

Instructions
